Factory farming is an industrialized system of breeding billions of animals per year under extreme and inhumane conditions intended to maximize production at minimal costs. 99% of farmed animals in the U.S. are raised on factory farms. This system has destructive environmental effects and is a leading contributor to climate change, deforestation and pollution. We can no longer afford to turn a blind eye.
